Ben speaks to Crewe Alex PlayerHD about his new deal

Ben Garratt says he is thrilled to have his future resolved after signing a new two-year contract with the club. Garratt has penned a new contract to take him through to the summer of 2019 and the Crewe Alexandra goalkeeper who has already amassed over 150 appearances for the club already is eager to bring success back to the club.

Garratt told Crewe Alex PlayerHD: “I am delighted to sign and have my future secured. Now I want to push on, kick on for the team and for the club. The club means a lot to me. I have been here since the age of six, and this is my club.

“To have played as many games as I have already is a good achievement  and I want to play as many games as I can. I am over the moon with the way things have gone and I’ve got to keep it going.

“It is a big compliment to have been offered a new contract and I am very happy here. You have to make sure everything is right. Everything is right and the time is right for me to sign.

“I’ve a lot to thank Fred (Barber) for. He has been great with me and has given me good advice. He has been a big part of my career so far and I can only thank him for what he has done for me.”
