David Artell says that contract talks continue to be positive.

David Artell has told the club’s official web-site that contract talks have continued to be positive between the club and Ben Garratt and Jon Guthrie.

David revealed to crewealex.net:”We have been talking. What is it you want? What is it we want, the football club and myself?

“It's been positive. If you talk to someone and get to know exactly what they need and want then you try to put that in place.

“It's all I'm trying to do, if it comes off, great. If it doesn't, we move on. But because Jon is out for a couple of weeks then it won't affect his football so I'm happy to talk to him about it at this moment in time.

“I've spoken to Ben too, I have to be mindful that games are coming thick and fast and the last thing I want to do is being talking to him the day before a game, in a dressing room or on a coach or whatever, you have to pick the right time.

He added: “I'm still hopeful on both of them I have to say.”
