David Artell confident that he will have Guthrie back for decisive run-in.

David Artell is hoping to have Jon Guthrie back in action before the end of the month if his hernia operation presents no complications. Guthrie is undergoing surgery in Manchester today and Artell will make contact with his player and the club’s medical team this evening from the team hotel in Portsmouth.

David told crewealex.net: “Jon will have his operation today and I will hopefully get a chance to speak to him this evening to see how he is and how he went.

“I will also talk with Rob (Sharp) to see how the operation went. It is alright then it could be a quick turnaround. It could be as quickly as three weeks if everything goes according to plan. That is where we stand right now and hopefully we will have him back for the run-in.”
