Crewe Alexandra's scheduled trip to Newport County on August 12 2017 will be either a fixture reversement, or postponed.

The Exiles have had special dispensation from the EFL to rearrange scheduled games in August to undertake extra work on the pitch at Rodney Parade, meaning the playing surface won't be ready until the end of that month.

The Alex have the option of agreeing to a fixture reversement, meaning the game on August 12 will take place at Alexandra Stadium, with the fixture later in the season on March 24 taking place at Rodney Parade - or - to postpone the game & play away at Newport on an agreed Tuesday night.

The Club are in contact with Newport County & details or the re-arrangement will be announced once confirmed.
