Assistant manager Kenny Lunt has praised the club’s board of directors for backing the new management team in their re-building process.
Crewe have recruited strikers Chris Porter and Jordan Bowery and defender Michael Raynes thus far and the club’s former captain is delighted with the early progress made in the transfer market.
Kenny told crewealex.net: “It has been a brilliant experience so far and now we have a chance to stamp more of a mark on the team. It has been a new experience and there were plenty of ups and downs last season, but I think myself and Dave have learned a lot from it already.
“The support we have had has been great. From the fans, who have been brilliant right through to the board of director and the Chairman. They have backed us and I’m sure they will continue to do that.
“They have been great and hopefully we can repay that faith by being successful.”
