Crewe Alexandra will play host to Bolton Wanderers in the first round of the 2017/18 Carabao Cup, formerly known as the EFL Cup.

The tie will take place at The Alexandra Stadium week commencing 7 August 2017 & the confirmed date will be announced in due course - as will ticket prices.

The live draw took place today (Friday 16 June) in Bangkok, Thailand, and was streamed live across the world for supporters to observe.

Crewe were a non-seeded side in the northern half of the draw & were matched with Bolton, who we last met in a pre-season friendly in summer 2016.

The Clubs met in this same competition in the second round in 2014/15, Wanderers coming out 3-2 victors after extra time at The Alexandra Stadium after Brad Inman & Marcus Haber had forced the game into an extra 30 minutes.
