Matt Completes Prostate Cancer Amsterdam Cycle!

13 June 2017

Crewe Alexandra employee Matt Johnson has made it back to the UK after completing his charity cycle from Barnsley to Amsterdam in aid of Prostate Cancer UK.

Cycling as part of the Football to Amsterdam group from Barnsley to Hull on day one, then Rotterdam to Amsterdam on day two, Matt has so far raised £1,850 for the charity with online & offline donations.

Crewe fan David Wilkinson also took part in the ride, with both he & Matt being welcomed at the finish line in Amsterdam by exiled Alex fan David Atkins who has lived in the Dutch capital for 30 years after moving from Crewe (Pictured in gallery at Amsterdam Arena).

There were also some famous faces taking on the challenge too, former players Viv Anderson & Les Ferdinand & managers Simon Grayson & Danny Wilson taking to the pedals (all pictured with Matt in gallery).

The ride may be over, but the fight against the prostate cancer disease isn't. Matt would love to break the £2,000 mark on behalf of Crewe Alexanda, so if you haven't already please donate to the cause online at www.justgiving.com/crewetoamsterdam or text CTOA87 £5 to donate £5 automatically.
