Kenny Lunt has told the club’s official web-site that his only objective is to make sure Crewe Alexandra finish as high as possible in EFL League Two next season.
The assistant manager appreciates the potential in David Artell’s squad and knows that if he can add a further three or four to the squad numbers then we could mount a serious push for promotion.
Lunt would not be drawn on a predication at this early stage in the close season, but he stresses that everyone will be working even harder to make sure we improve every day.
Lunt told crewealex.net: “I can assure the fans that we will be doing everything we can to make it a successful season. We will be doing the best we can and will looking to improve as coaches every day to make us better.
“The only aim I have at the moment is to make sure this team reaches its potential and that we can finish as high as possible. I don’t want to out a number on it or start making predication but we have a good group here and we want three or four more to make us even stronger.
“We want to play attractive football when we can but also do the other side of the game as well. We will look to improve the football and try and win as many games as we can.
“We had the experience of trying not to be involved in a relegation fight. It would be nice to have the experience of being involved towards the top of the league. That would be a nice pressure to have. We’ll see what happens but we are a bit more experienced as a management team now and that will only benefit us."
