The new EFL fixtures are released on Wednesday at 9am.

Crewe Alexandra midfielder James Jones has told the club’s official iFollow that he is looking forward to the release of the new EFL League Two fixtures on Wednesday.

Jones has already returned to pre-season training to embark on his strengthening and conditioning programme and he is looking forward to making sure he has another successful season after scoring a personal best of 11 goals from his 50 appearances.

The 21-year-old says he's looking forward to planning ahead for the new season when the fixtures come out on Wednesday.

He told iFollow: “It’s always an exciting time when then new fixtures come out.

“There are certain ones you look out for, first day, last day, around Christmas and stuff like that. It will be interesting and I’m looking forward to it.

“I’ll be tuning into the Club website to see who we get!

“There’s a good standard of teams that we’re playing and all the games will be good tests for us in different ways."
