Boss encourages the players to embrace the demands of pre-season.
Crewe Alexandra boss David Artell has told the club’s official website that the players can expect an intense re-introduction to pre-season later this week. The Alex players have been undertaking conditioning sessions twice a week during the closed season and return to full-time training on 28th June.
David explained to crewealex.net: “The players have been doing two sessions a week with rest days in between but training will be more intense now. They have to ready for what is coming up because it is going to be arduous.
“We will be training in the morning, having something to eat and then go out in the afternoon as well. It will be intense and tough mentally and physically, but they have got to embrace it.
“We will get them fit and then with the games will come the match fitness, which is different. We will be ready to go.”
