Artell optimistic ahead of new season kick off.
David Artell has told the club’s official website that the only thing that you can guarantee on the opening day of the season is the hot weather!
The Alex boss is looking forward to the seasonal opener against Mansfield Town on 5th August - but says there will be an intense pre-season planning to get through first!
Artell told crewealex.net: “It is an exciting time and we are still trying to add to the squad. We have planned the pre-season and the players will find it intense because we want them to be as fit and ready as they can be.
“Everything tends to be focussed on that opening day but we want it to carry on for nine months. We are optimistic of having a successful season.
“The only thing you can predict at this stage, is that it is going to be hot on the opening day of the season. It always is.”
