David Artell says he and his staff are working hard to bring players in during the window.

David Artell has told the club’s official web-site that he has some ‘irons in the fire’ and he will do everything he can to make sure he adds to his squad during the transfer window. The newly appointed Artell and his back room staff have been working hard on bringing in some fresh faces during January to bolster his options for the remaining few months of the campaign.

Artell told crewealex.net: “We have got to add to the squad and we will do. It is still early days in the job for me but I can assure the supporters that we will do everything we can during the transfer window to bring some players in.

“We will try our best to do that. It is always a busy time in the window and the good thing is that we are in the transfer window and there is an opportunity there for us to do something. We want to find the right players and make sure there is no emotional baggage for fitness concerns, so they can go in and help us.”
