Newly appointed captain wants Alex fans help us get over the line against Cheltenham

Crewe Alexandra’s newly appointed captain Danny Hollands has told Crewe Alex PlayerHD that with the Alex faithful behind them at Gresty Road, they can inspire us to a first win in ten games and a first under new boss David Artell.

Ahead of home game against the Robins, the former Bournemouth midfielder told us: “We’ve played Cheltenham enough this season to know what they’re all about, so we know how they’re going to approach the game and what kind of qualities they have. We’ve played them three times so we know what to expect. 

“If we can compete with them and match their hard-work then we feel we have enough quality to get a positive result. We’re working really hard in training to make sure we turn the tide sooner rather than later.

“When times get tough, you hear the supporters getting behind you which really rallies you to get a second wind in games.

Danny added: “It’s massive that they stick by us. We understand their frustrations, but one good results could quickly lead to two or three positive ones, that will give them what they deserve."
