Jon Guthrie remains convinced that we can turn our season around in the second half.
Crewe Alexandra defender Jon Guthrie believes it is time for the Alex players to show their worth as he seek our first win in six matches away at Mansfield Town this weekend. After making a positive start to the season, Crewe Alexandra have disappointingly fallen to 17th in the League Two table and Guthrie says it is up to the players to step up.
Jon told crewealex.net: “At times like these, you have to show your worth. It has not been a good period for us and we have to bounce back as soon as possible. It has been disappointing for everyone.
“That is football and it can change quickly. A couple of wins can get you right back in the mix and that is what we have to aim for. We have had some poor results and that has seen us fall down the table and it is up to us to turn it around.
“That starts on the work we do on the training ground and making sure we help ourselves on game time. Once we cross that white line and step onto the pitch then it is up to us as players to produce. “
