David Artell says he will hold talks with Danny Hollands over his future.

David Artell has revealed to crewealex.net that a decision over the immediate future of midfielder Danny Hollands has not been decided as yet. The former Portsmouth and Bournemouth man played impressively against Luton Town on Saturday and with his short-term deal set to expire, Artell is set to meet with the 31-year-old to discuss his future.

Artell told the club’s official web-site: “I have spoken to Danny’s agent and will speak to Danny again about his future. It is a tough one. I thought he was excellent for us on Saturday. He played really well and that has put the cat amongst the pigeons.

“He knows I have been as honest and open as I can with him and a decision has not been made about him.

“He hasn’t seen his family for three weeks, so I gave him Monday off to go and see them.

He added: “Danny is an excellent professional and I’ve had no inclination that he wants to leave.”
