Steve has faith in his front players to start finding the back of the net.

Steve Davis has told crewealex.net that he has faith that our fortunes will turn in front of goal. The Alex have scored just two goals in our last six games and the boss is after a vast improvement after missing some good chances against Accrington and Morecambe in our last two encounters.

The Crewe boss told the club’s official web-site: “We are creating chances but not taken them. It is not as though we are going through games and not creating anything.

“We have just lacked that little bit of quality or composure. We have also faced goalkeepers in good form, who have  arguably been the man-of-the-match. That was certainly the case at Morecambe.

“We have to make better decisions in and around the box and be more patience. They have shown that they can do it. They have done it in the earlier part of the season when we played some terrific football and were taking more of our chances.

“They have shown what they are capable of and we just need the ball to run for us a bit more. Hopefully our luck will change a bit and the goals will come back.

Steve added: “We have just encouraged them to make the same runs and get in the right positions and hopefully they will start to get their rewards for that.”
