Alex midfielder Billy Bingham says that you have to take the rough with the smooth in football

Crewe Alexandra midfielder Billy Bingham has told the club’s official web-site that the team have to work hard through the adversity and get back to winning games. The Railwaymen travel to Mansfield this weekend hoping to find that positive result that could re-ignite the season.

Billy told the club’s official web-site: “We have made some errors in the games that have cost us and when you go 1-0 or 2-0 down in this division, it is difficult because most clubs are content to sit back and protect their lead.

“We are all in this together and no-one here wants to be in the position we find ourselves in. We genuinely feel that we are better than our league position and it is up to us as players to prove it.  

The midfielder added: “Football does not run as smoothly as you would like. You have to take the rough with the smooth as a player and as a team and we have got to work hard together to turn things back into our favour.”
