David Artell praise for professional Hollands after he is hands him armband.
David Artell says he didn’t hesitate to hand Danny Hollands the captain’s armband on Saturday. The experienced midfielder captained the club for the first time with striker Ryan Lowe on the subs bench during our 3-1 defeat at Doncaster.
Hollands has recently signed a contract extension with the club to take him through to the summer and Artell continues to be impressed by the leadership qualities of the former Bournemouth and Portsmouth man.
David told crewealex.net: “I thought Danny was good for us again. We need that experience and leadership in there, in the centre of midfield. We don’t have too many leaders but Danny is one.
“We have a number of younger players we are relying on and then we have those in-between ones as well, who are young but have played a large number of games, we need them all to step up to the plate.
“We all have to look in the mirror and look to do better. We all can and we have to, right across the board.”
