Ollie Turton praise for unsung hero Bowery.
Full-back Ollie Turton has praised the contribution of our loan striker Jordan Bowery and says that he has been ‘massive’ for us as we look to move away from the bottom places. Bowery, who is on loan from Leyton Orient until the end of the season has not scored his first Crewe goal yet, but Turton says that his work ethic, all-round game and unselfish play has made a difference in the final third.
Bowery made his fourth key assist for the club when perfectly nodding down Ben Nugent’s long pass into the path of Turton at Blackpool last weekend for Crewe to obtain a deserved point at Bloomfield Road.
Turton told the club’s official web-site: “Jordan has been massive for us. He works so hard for the team and gives us a presence up. The others can work off him and although he hasn’t got his goal yet, I’m sure it will come for him.
“When Nuge was allowed to bring the ball out, I gambled a bit on my man not tracking me and it was a fantastic header from Jordan. It was perfect for me to run onto and tuck it in. Jordan is a great team player and he has made a difference to us up there.”
