Hollands To Undergo Surgery

24 February 2017

Danny Hollands will face a race against time to play again this season.

Crewe Alexandra midfielder Danny Hollands is set to have surgery on his hamstring injury in the next couple of days. The experienced Hollands is to have a routine operation to repair the damage done to his tendon and he is expected to be out for at least eight weeks.

Hollands suffered the injury in the 2-1 win over Wycombe when stretching to win the ball back but David Artell is hoping that ‘the fantastic professional’ will be back before the end of the season.

Artell told crewealex.net: “Danny needs an operation and he will have that tomorrow. It is a serious one and we knew that but we remain hopeful that he will be back before the end of the season.

“On the other hand, we have to be careful and as cautious as we can be with him. Dan is a fantastic professional. I would say that he is one of the best that I’ve ever come across. I am sure he will be doing everything he can to get back.”
