Midfielder suffers hamstring problem.

Crewe Alexandra will assess the injury sustained by midfielder Danny Hollands in last night’s 2-1 win over Wycombe Wanderers at Gresty Road. Crewe lost their captain after just 20 minutes due to a hamstring injury, after he stretched into a tackle with Adebayo Akinfenwa. Hollands was replaced by youngster Ryan Wintle and the armband was passed to defender George Ray.

Crewe believe that Hollands may have suffered a problem with one of his nerves rather than an actual tear but more will be known once he has undergone a scan.

Billy Bingham has made a successful return to training over the last 7 days but it is unlikely he will be ready to face Blackpool at the weekend.
