Hollands Op Goes Well

28 February 2017

Surgeon pleased with way operation on Hollands' hamstring has gone.

Crewe Alexandra captain Danny Hollands has successfully undergone an operation on his injured hamstring. Hollands suffered more of a tendon injury than a grade tear when stretching into a tackle against Wycombe Wanderers, but he has successfully undergone surgery and it is hoped that he will be available for the club again before the season ends on 6th May.

Hollands underwent the op in London on Saturday morning and the club’s medical department have been informed that the routine operation went well in repairing the damaged area.

David Artell told the club’s official web-site: “I spoke with Danny on Friday evening and he went for his operation on Saturday morning. I’ve spoken to him since and he will spend a week at home with his ice machine being his best friend.

“The operation went well and the surgeon was pleased with it. The damage in there has been fixed and after his week of recovery, he will up here and coming in for his rehab. He is a great pro and I’m sure he will cracking on and trying to get back before the end of the season.”
