Bowery: "I'll Wait For My First Goal"

16 February 2017

Loan signing Jordan Bowery says team points are the most important thing

Crewe Alexandra striker Jordan Bowery says he will wait patiently for his first goal for the club. Bowery, on loan from Leyton Orient has not scored yet but he has certainly added a different dimension to David Artell’s attack. Bowery, 25, has worked his socks off for the cause and has played an important role in seeing Crewe achieve back-to-back home wins.

Jordan told Crewe Alex PlayerHD: “As a striker you want as many goals as you can and as a striker you do get judged on how many goals you score but if I don’t score then I want to be contributing with assists and helping the team.

“The manager says he has pleased with me so it is nice to hear those words and to have that backing and although I would have liked to have got a goal, as long as the team is picking up points then that the main thing.

“I’ll wait for my goal. It will come but I hope it comes sooner rather than later.”
