Midfielder hoping to be involved for U-23s in their next fixture.

Billy Bingham has returned to training and could feature for the Under-23s in their next fixture against Sheffield Wednesday on 20th February. The Crewe Alexandra midfielder has not featured for the first team since the beginning of January, but he has made considerable progress over the couple of weeks and is has successfully returned to training.

Youngsters Callum Saunders and Tommy Lowery are also expected to return to training soon and the club hope that reserve goalkeeper Dave Richards will be passed fit to sit on the substitutes’ bench tomorrow. Richards suffered a nasty head injury in our Cheshire Senior Cup tie against Stockport County and needed a large amount of stitches. He was replaced by youngster Scott Wardley.

Winger Charlie Kirk is serving the first of his three match ban after he was red carded at Exeter last week.
