David Flitcroft’s Swindon Town arrive in South Cheshire tomorrow with the best away record in League Two. The Robins’ home form has been rather inconsistent but they have won seven matches on the road to place them in mid-table in League Two.
Crewe boss David Artell is expecting a tough pre-Christmas assignment but says that his players will be going into the home encounter with plenty of confidence after beating Crawley Town 3-0 last weekend.
Artell told crewealex.net: “Swindon will be a tough game. They have the best away record in the league, so they will come to us full of beans.
“Their home from has not been as good as their away form and we know their strengths and weaknesses.
“It will be a difficult game but one we will be looking to win.
“Swindon can do a bit of everything. They can be physical if they need to be and can counter on you, but if we play well and do our jobs well then we are a match for anyone.
“It is about us being as consistent as we can be over the 90 minutes and making sure we get the job done.”
