In his Christmas goodwill message to supporters, David Artell hopes that Crewe Alexandra can contribute to a great festive period for our fans.

Crewe face four games in 10 days and Artell know that it is a prime time to collate some points in a short space of time. Crewe start with a home game against Swindon Town this weekend.

The Alex boss said: “I hope our fans have a great Christmas and that we can contribute to that by winning some games. We have made a good start with three points last weekend but we need to build on that and go on a bit of a run.

“If we all do our jobs to the best of our ability, and I included the fans in that, with their support and cheering at the games, then we can have a successful second half of the season.

“I must say the fans have been absolutely magnificent to me since I took over and we want to give them something to cheer about over Christmas.”
