Boss Wants Little Away Run To Continue

8 December 2017

Crewe Alexandra boss David Artell wants his team to continue their unbeaten run away from home with another positive result at Cheltenham this weekend. The Alex boss has been pleased with our 1-0 win at Morecambe and the manner in which we fought back from 3-0 down to force a replay against Blackburn in the FA Cup.

Ahead of our trip to Whaddon Road, Artell said:  “We are unbeaten in two away games and that is far better than the previous eight. We won at Morecambe and forced a draw at Blackburn, so it is positive.

“It has been a good week. We have had to patch one or two of them up but we go again. They are all winnable games at this level and we will go there full of confidence.

“We went through the Blackburn video at the beginning of the week. We went through what we had done poorly in the opening 20, 25 minutes and what we did well for the first half of the second half to get ourselves back in the game.

“We then analysed what we could have done a bit better in the final 10 minutes. We did the reflection and the feedback was good.”
