David Artell says that he doesn’t have to sell any of his main assets during the January transfer window. The Crewe Alexandra boss would like to retain his squad and add to it if possible.
Any transfer outgoings would depend on the offer suiting all parties but he hopes it doesn’t come to that once the window reopens in the New Year.
The Crewe boss told us: “There is bound to be some speculation and rumours because the window re-opens in January.
“We have some good young players, so there is bound to be one or two rumours but until we actually see the colour of people’s money then that is all it is, speculation.
“No-one can buy anyone at the moment, so we’ll have to wait and see. I don’t particularly have to sell and I certainly haven’t had that conversation with the Chairman if we do. Every player in world football has a price.
“We will act as we have always done. If a bid was to come in January then we would consider it but no-one has made any enquiries about any of our players.”
