Crewe Alexandra Under 18's got their 2017/18 campaign off to the perfect start with a 2-0 victory over Charlton Atheltic in the Captial.

Goals from Luke Offord & skipper Joe Lynch paved the way for the victory, and an impressive clean sheet, as Lee Bell's troops confidently recorded victory.

It was a goal in each half for Crewe, with Offord glancing in a header from Luke Walsh's crossed free-kick, before Lynch slotted in low under the keeper after the break after being played in following a clever build-up.

The Alex dominated for three quarters of the game, which was helped when the home side had a man sent off midway through the second half.

The score-line could've been greater, but the lads professionaly saw the game out to record a confidence-boosting three points.
