Boss Dave Artell may have Zoumana Bakayogo & Jordan Bowery pushing for starts against Newport County AFC this weekend after the pair recovered from injuries.

The match comes too soon for George Ray & James Jones though, with the boss set to field a similar squad to the one that drew with Mansfield & lost to Bolton in the Carabao Cup in mid-week.

The Gaffer said: "George [Ray] has had his scan & that's come back positive. Zooms has had his injection in his knee & that's worked a treat. James Jones has now been training for a week so he's not far off.

"The injured lads are getting close to game time. Zooms had a full pre-season & has only been out ten days so he'll be ok & Jordan played 80 minutes Monday night at Whitchurch & he came through it fine.

"George Ray & Jonah are a bit behind because they didn't have any pre-season but they're coming along fine.

"We're virtually there on the injury front, so whoever we choose & whatever formation of system we play then I'm sure we'll be fine."
