Dave Artell is expecting a tough afternoon when Newport County AFC roll into Gresty Road tomorrow.
The Exiles pulled themselves out of the abyss to stay in the EFL in the final game of last season, & the boss believes they're still riding the crest of that wave after two good results to start the new campgain.
Artell said: "Newport were decent the other night. Southend made quite a few changes which weakend their team, but it gave us an insight into how effective they could be.
"They've got some good pace in the team with some players to come back in too that they rested themselves.
"It's Newport County. Everyone saw what they were capable of at the back-end of the season & when you're still on that bit of a roll then you're harder to stop.
"They've started brightly & have scored five goals already so I don't envisage anything different than what we've seen so we'll take it from there & see how we get on against them."
