Artell: "Plenty Of Options"

25 August 2017

Although Crewe Alexandra will be without the injured George Ray and James Jones for tomorrow’s first derby game of the season at Vale Park, boss David Artell says he has plenty of options to go with.

Defender Perry Ng returns from his one-match suspension and last week’s substitutes’ Zoumana Bakayogo and Callum Ainley certainly gave the boss food for thought with the impact they made in the 1-0 win over Barnet.

Ahead of this weekend’s local derby, Artell told crewealex.net: “We haven’t got any of our injured back yet but I have enough options. Perry is back from suspension and last week’s subs did well for us.

“We are in a healthy state and we will see how we line-up. I’ve told the players that we focus on ourselves. We know it is a local derby and know what comes with that but if we play as well as we have done in the opening games then we have to be confident.”
