Young duo to remain at Club until at least June 2018Crewe Alexandra have moved to activate the clauses in both Ryan Wintle & Tommy Lowery's contract's to trigger a 12-month extension that keep's the pair at the Club until at least summer 2018.
Wintle has featured much more regularly in the first team since Dave Artell & Kenny Lunt took charge in January & has sufficiently impressed to earn another year.
The 19-year-old signed for Crewe from Alsager Town almost two-and-a-half years ago & has moved from strength to strength through the Club's U18 & then U23's team to become a First Team squad player, with 2017/18 set to be a big season for the midfielder.
Lowery however has endured a frustrating second half of the season after breaking into the first team during October.
A succession of injuries since Artell took charge have kept him out of action, but the coaches know enough about him after bringing him through the academy to sign him on for another season to give him the platform to unlock his potential.
Both Ryan & Tommy are expected to become key members of the squad for Manager Dave Artell next season.
