Artell having to cope with six injuries and absence of Jordan Bowery.

Crewe Alexandra manager David Artell is having to cope with six injures and the absence of the on-loan Jordan Bowery for the visit of Leyton Orient this weekend. Bowery is not permitted to play against his parent club after joining Crewe on loan in January.

The Alex boss is waiting on the scan results of his captain George Ray after he was forced off with a back injury at Yeovil on Monday before he decides on his back four. Ray is struggling after being forced off at the break at Huish Park.

Artell has already lost defenders Jon Guthrie (hernia), Ben Nugent (knee), Tom Lowery (hernia), Danny Hollands (knee), Dave Richards (finger).

Former captain Harry Davis is receiving treatment at Reasehaeath as he recovers from his knee injury. Davis was ruled out for the season after obtaining the injury whilst out on loan with Scottish side St. Mirren.
