Crewe midfielder believes group is good enough to turn things around next season
Crewe Alexandra midfielder James Jones says it is up to the Alex dressing room to prove people wrong and end the season on high. Jones recently marked his new one-year deal with his 10th goal of the season against Notts County on Good Friday and the Scotland Under-21 International still believes that we are in a false position in League Two.
Jones told the club’s official web-site: “Football is a lot about proving people wrong, or trying to show people you are good enough.
“There is always going to those who doubt your ability, or how good you are as a team. It is an opportunity to prove people wrong. I think the squad we have is a good one. The players are good enough. We started the season well, but we had a big dip but we can turn things around.
“I don’t see what the same nucleus of players with a couple added in cannot mount a challenge next season.”
