First Teamers Collecting For Charity Cycle Tonight!

5 April 2017

Please support Matt's charity cycle for Prostate Cancer UK

A selection of Crewe Alexandra first team squad members have offered to hold a bucket collection at tonight's Cheshire Senior Cup Final in support of Alex employee Matt's Prostate Cancer UK cycle to Amsterdam this summer.

George Ray, George Cooper & Jon Guthrie are among the players collecting who are not involved in the playing squad for the final, & they will be milling around The Carlsberg Lounge & concourses prior to kick-off.

The players will be open to conversations, discussions, photographs & autographs with all supporters, & just ask that you make a small donation (£1 min suggested) into their collections buckets towards the fantastic cause.

All the players involved will be wearing a black Prostate Cancer UK t-shirts, so feel free to hunt them down!

Turnstiles for the game (7:45pm kick-off) open at 6:30pm, with both Crewe & Nantwich supporters welcome to head straight into the Carlsberg Lounge where a full bar is in operation. Concourse tea bars will also be open, serving the usual match day hot food, drinks & confectionery.

Every EFL Football Club is required to recruit a 'team captain' to cycle on behalf of their Football Club for the annual mass migration to Amsterdam, and Matt is taking up the challenge for The Alex this year on June 9 2017.

If you can't attend the Senior Cup Final but would still like to find out more information or donate to Matt's efforts, you can do so safely & securely at https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/crewetoamsterdam
