Bowery Cannot Face His Parent Club

19 April 2017

On loan striker cannot face his parent club this weekend

Jordan Bowery is not permitted to play against his parent club Leyton Orient this weekend. The on-loan striker is not allowed to play against the O’s due to the EFL regulations, which prevents loan players from facing clubs that hold their registration.

Bowery, 25, has scored two goals in 17 appearances for Crewe Alexandra this season and has certainly helped improve David Artell’s forward line after signing in the January window.

Bowery’s absence will open the door for someone else to step in. George Cooper was rested on Monday, only coming on as a late substitute for Callum Ainley in our 3-0 defeat.

David Artell may look to do something different up front for the visit of the O’s with youngsters Callum Saunders and Dan Udoh also hoping for an opportunity.
