Artell Praise For Professional Job

24 April 2017

David Artell praises for his team's professionalism against O's as we reach safety mark.

Crewe Alexandra boss David Artell praised his dominant side after they broke the 50 point mark in style with a comfortable 3-0 win over Leyton Orient. Crewe responded well from our Easter Monday defeat at Yeovil, producing a really professional display against the now relegated O’s.

First half goals from youngsters, Callum Ainley, Ryan Wintle and George Cooper killed off the Londoners hope of remaining in the EFL.

Artell told the club’s official web-site: “It was a really dominant performance from us and we played some excellent football at times. It was a really professional performance from us and it was great to get that clean-sheet. That is seven since I took over, so that’s bad.

“We didn’t allow them to get close to our goal and they only had a couple of shots from 25 yards, so that reflects our dominance in the game.

“The only criticism I had was that we didn’t score more in the second half. We had some chances, but if that is all I’ve got to be critical about every week then we will alright.

“We were convincing and thoroughly professional and it was capped off with three good goals.”
