Both have received extended 12-month deals as part of their current contracts & the boss is looking to get the pair to play an integral part in the team in 2017/18.

Artell said: "Both of those two players have got a really bright future.

"Tom's 2ft4, but he's a real good player. I'm sure some of the fans have seen him when he came onto the scene. He controlled the game when he came on at half-time on his debut at Luton.

"Ryan Wintle has also been the best performer in the U23's for months. He's come on for us & had a taste, & he's done well. He did really well against Wycombe, Blackpool & Portsmouth.

"They deserve their extensions to their contracts. They haven't cracked it, but they're certainly heading in the right direction."
