Zooms: "We Have To Embrace Challenge"

22 September 2016

Bakayogo says he have to get use to playing under pressure.

Defender Zoumana Bakayogo says Crewe Alexandra have to embrace the challenge of being in the top places in League Two. Crewe entertain Blackpool this Saturday aiming to increase our unbeaten run to five games in all competitions and the club’s popular left-back says the dressing room is determined to keep us in those top places.

Bakayogo told Crewe Alex PlayerHD: “It is something every footballer wants to be feeling, so we want to keep our run going and be positive.

“We want to put Crewe Alexandra in better position so people will think that we are a good side and we are in a tough game. The difficulties will start now because other teams are going to look at us as a threat.

“We have to work hard and try everything we can to try and stay up there. It is something we need to get used to. We need to forget about pressure and make sure we focus on ourselves and what we need to do.

“If we can continue to do a good job on the pitch then the results will look after themselves. We don’t want to be dropping any silly points, especially at home.”
