We Have To Maintain Our Form

22 September 2016

Steve Davis pleased we have crept up under the radar to move into top three.

.Steve Davis believes that our home form will be key to us having a successful season. Crewe Alexandra host Blackpool this weekend hoping to record a fifth straight win in all competitions

Crewe followed up a 2-0 home win over Exeter City with a win away at Grimsby last weekend and Davis believes that our home form will provide a strong platform for success in League Two.

Steve told crewealex.net: “We have started the season well but it is about maintaining that form and making sure we sustain the level we have set.

“No-one here will be thinking we have cracked it or will be getting complacent. We have to continue to work hard and make sure we bounce back from disappointments. We will lose games along the way and it will be about overcoming that as quickly as we can.

“We lost at Cheltenham but the players have responded superbly and have won the last four games. That is what we need. We are on a great run in League Two and have only lost one game in 11 games over 90 minutes.

“We have had a good start but we need the rest of the month to be good and then look to do well in October and then November. It is a little shuffle forward one at a time.

Steve added: “We have moved up quietly to be under the radar. Plymouth have made a great start and Doncaster are strong and I’m happy that we have crept up on the quiet. That suits me but we have to keep maintaining our form. “
