Kiwomya Could Take Part In Non-Contact Training

29 September 2016

Crewe hopeful winger will be able to participate in non-contact training next week.

Crewe Alexandra’s on-loan winger Alex Kiwomya could get the green light to participate in non-contact training next week.

The Chelsea youngster, who has signed on loan until January, dislocated his shoulder away at Grimsby Town and he returned to his parent club to be assessed. After undergoing an MRI scan at his parent club, Kiwomya, who has scored four goals already this season, has been informed that he does not require surgery.

The former England Youth International has started his rehab at Reaseheath and his progress could see him taking part in non-contact training later next week.

The quick winger will be out for a few weeks yet as the shoulder fully settles down after being re-positioned, but that is a relieve to everyone at the club who felt he could be out for a number of months after going down late on at Blundell Park.
