Steve Davis wants everyone to keep chipping in with goals.
Steve Davis is delighted that our goals have been shared around nine of his squad already this season but the Alex boss is hoping that even more will be able to chip in to take the pressure off his forward players.
Midfielder Danny Hollands was the latest Alex player to open his account with a late decider against Exeter City at the weekend and Davis wants the goals to continue from everywhere.
The Crewe boss told the club’s official web-site: “It is great to have goals coming from everywhere. All we need now is the defenders chipping in with a few as well!
“They are all capable and we can offer more of a threat from set-plays. It is something we work on.
“The worry I had in the summer was that we would be relying too much on Lowey and Daggers. We thought that they would get goals if we could create chances for them but what we didn’t know was that Alex (Kiwomya) would come in and become the goalscorer he has become.
He added: “Coops has created and scored goals and all the midfielders have got a goal, so it is good that we are scoring from different areas of the pitch. Having the two strikers up there always gives you a chance and it is nice not to have to totally rely on just them.”
