Davis: "Nice To Be Winning At Home"

12 September 2016

Steve wants platform of home points following back-to-back home wins.

Steve Davis was pleased with his side’s second successive home win after a goal in each half from Alex Kiwomya and Danny Hollands sealed a 2-0 win over Exeter City. It wasn’t as comfortable as it appeared with Exeter City creating a number of chances and having a couple of penalty appeals rejected.

Davis is hoping that wins over Exeter City and Doncaster Rovers will be the springboard for collecting more home points.

The boss told us: “We want to develop that winning habit and to get back-to-back wins is pleasing.

“It is good for the fans to see us winning games at home and we want to make sure that teams coming here don’t get much from us. We want our home form to provide us with a good platform of points.

“We have to give churn out those results, even when we are controlling the game as much as we would have liked. That was the case against Exeter but we showed that resilience and played some good football in spells.”
