Steve previews our weekend meeting with the Seasiders
Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis says he will prepare his side to cope with Blackpool’s size. Gary Bowyer brings his Blackpool side to South Cheshire this weekend and Davis has been impressed with their new-look outfit under the former Blackburn boss.
Ahead of this weekend’s League Two fixture at Gresty Road, Steve told crewealex.net: “Gary has added his own players to the squad and they are a big side.
“They have big players and they are powerful side. They will be a bit different from the team we face last season, but they are always tough to play against. They have made a decent start to the season and they will be looking to build on that.
“Gary will be wanting to stop the spiral, like we are. When you have been relegated it takes a bit of time to turn things around to make sure you are heading in the right direction again.
“Blackpool have been a club that has been in a downward spiral for a while. They have some disgruntled fans because of the ownership or whatever, but all Gary can control is the football side of things.
Steve added: “He will be looking to leapfrog back into League One as soon as possible and will be building a team to try and do that.”
