Callum Ainley pleased to continue his footballing education at Crewe Alexandra.
Callum Ainley is hoping that gaining the security of a new and improved two-year deal will only help him to push on to try and regain his first team spot. Ainley, 18, signed fresh terms on Tuesday and the attack minded midfielder is determined to put pressure on those currently ahead of him in the team.
Ainley told Crewe Alex PlayerHD: “I am pleased to have my contract sorted and was pleased to sign. I knew that when I was offered it by the manager that I wanted to sign it. It helps knowing that I have two years and it gives you a platform to improve.
“It gives you great confidence and it gives you something to build on. It is good to come through with Charlie (Kirk). We have come through since we were under-8s and we have signed almost all our contracts together.
“I just want to get minutes on the pitch and keep pushing those ahead of me and try and get back into the team. That is the first aim and then I am the sure the goals will come.”
