Steve Davis prepares for busy week of fixtures at all levels.

Steve Davis says he will have to act with caution this week because of our extensive fixture schedule. The first team’s 2-0 win at Leyton Orient was followed up with a 3-1 win for the Development Squad at table toppers Huddersfield Town on Sunday.

The Alex Youth team are in action at Sheffield United on Tuesday night and we will be fielding a fairly strong side on the same night at Stockport Town in the Cheshire Senior Cup.

The Crewe boss said: “We will have had four games in four days. We have two games on the same night on Tuesday and we will have a decent team out at Stockport.

“Some of the players who have been in the first team squad will play in that one. For a relatively small squad like ours, it will be demanding. It will be a busy week for us because of the fixture list and we will have to assess how they are.”
