Steve: "Plenty Of Twists And Turns Yet"

26 October 2016

Steve Davis says his team will become more consistent.

Steve Davis believes there will be a host of twists and turns in the season as Crewe Alexandra try to bounce back into League One at the first attempt. The Railwaymen suffered their first home defeat of the season at the hands of Yeovil Town at the weekend, but remain just a point out of the play-off places.

Whilst runaway leaders Plymouth Argyle have shown real consistency, the rest of the division remains extremely tight with just seven points separating Crewe and third placed Doncaster Rovers.

Steve told the club’s official web-site: “The league is still very tight and it is still very early. There has only been 14 games and we are not that far off from where we want to be at this stage.

“We should have a few more points and it is just a question of us of turning those performances into wins.

“We want to win every game and we approach it that way every week, regardless of who we are playing but that won’t be possible. There are going to be plenty of ups and downs yet and we are in a period at the moment when we haven’t won. We have drawn too many.

Steve added: “If we can get that win then we will right back up there. We know we can improve and become more creative but there is no-one panicking here because we think we have a decent team.”
