Steve: "Massive 3 Points Up For Grabs"

6 October 2016

Steve Davis targets a massive three points against rivals Luton.

Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis has hailed this weekend’s encounter at Luton as a ‘big game’ for the club.

With just a point separating the two sides going into the clash at Kenilworth Road, Davis wants a ‘massive three points’ to end a recent run of four games without a win.

Although Plymouth Argyle have established a five point lead at the top of the table, it remains relatively tight underneath that with Crewe just three points adrift of Doncaster Rovers in second place.

Ahead of the weekend’s clash at Luton, Steve told us: “Some of the players had a rest on Tuesday and we will give some of the players a day off on Thursday. We have planned for Luton and we will go through their clips again on Friday.

“We are looking forward to a really good game. We have to be ready because it will be a tough game. It will be a tough examination of where we are.

The boss added: “There is a point dividing us in the table and it is still very tight, so we know it is a big game and the three points would be massive at this stage of the season. The players know what three points would mean to our position.”
