Magpies have beat Crewe in last four meetingsNotts County have beaten Crewe Alexandra in seven of the last eight meetings and boast four straight victories in the fixture, a run Steve Davis is hoping to end this weekend
The red herring result came in 2012/13 with a 1-1 draw at Meadow Lane, but other than that, the points have always gone to the Magpies since 2002/03.
But Crewe are making decent headway in League Two this season, and fresh off a decent point at Luton, Davis will be confident of laying this particular ghost to rest.
Steve said: "We've not been there very often and done well in terms of the results.
"We've performed ok at home against them, but i think away from home it's always been a difficult place for us to go, so we've got to try and turn that around and come back with some points.
"We've prepared right and done what we wanted to in training this week, so if we can pick up from what we did last weekend then there's no reason why we can't get a decent result."
